Underground Railroad History Conference

Location: 45 Ferry Street Troy NY 12180
The Underground Railroad Project of the Capital District proudly announces its tenth annual conference. This year the theme is Abolishing Slavery in the Atlantic World: the Underground Railroad in the Americas, Africa, and Europe. This is the best conference on the UGRR in New York State. It will be held on April 12-14, 2013 at Russell Sage College in historic Troy, NY. This is just a short distance from the site of the Charles Nalle Rescue of 1860, led by Harriet Tubman.

They are currently looking for proposals for workshops. It would be great if the New York Geographic Alliance had a strong presence, since the Underground Railroad is definitely a geographic topic.

If you are interested in more information, or you would like to submit a proposal for a workshop, visit their website. See the link below.
