NYSCSS Annual Conference - Albany

Location: 40 Lodge Street Albany NY 12207

The New York State Council for the Social Studies (NYSCSS) has announced that their annual conference will be held in Albany on March 27-29, 2013. Many of the workshops will be held on Friday and Saturday, which should allow more teachers to attend without missing school time. There should be some great activities there in our state capital.  Of course, NYGA will be there with a table and we will be presenting workshops, too. Make sure you stop by. We have freebies! We also pleased to announce that the New York Geographic Alliance will be receiving the Partners in Excellence Award from NYSCSS at a ceremony of Thursday evening, which is open to all registrants. We are very proud of this recognition, because it demonstrates that geography is an important part of social studies instruction.

The conference will be held at the Albany Hilton. Registration for the conference and for the hotel is now available. Rooms are limited, so book your registration today.

Phil Gersmehl, chair of the NYGA Module Development Committee,  presenting a previous NYSCSS Conference. Other NYGA members will also be presenting.
