The annual conference of the Central New York Council for the Social Studies (CNYCSS) will be held at the Carnegie Conference Center in Driver's Village in Cicero (formally the Penn Can Mall) on Tuesday, October 21, 2014.
This conference is one of the best local social studies conferences in the state. This year it will feature a keynote address by Dr. John Langdon of LeMoyne College, who will discuss the tragic events leading to World War I, on its centenniel. A continental breakfast and lunch are provided.
This will be followed by several workshop break-out sessions on a variety of topics. Don't miss the NYGA workshop by Tim McDonnell on the Atlas of New York: Legacies of the Erie Canal. We have good materials!
